A Note To Founders
Hey Founder,
I'm James Sinclair. If you're here, it means you're looking for help, and the question is: am I the right person for you? I'm not just another expert who'll tell you what to do, I'm here to help you figure out how to do it. If we're a mutual fit, I'd love to help you get to the next step in your journey.
I encourage you to book an introductory call. If you haven't already read the explanation for my consultation fee, let me clarify: it's there because I don't have the capacity to speak with everyone. It's a way to ensure that the conversation is valuable, and that you're serious about getting the support you need.
I'm a generalist, and that's important to note. I don't specialize in any one sector. You bring the vision, expertise, and domain knowledge to the table, what you likely need is someone who can complement your journey, not just mirror your expertise.
Founders often appreciate the safe space I create during our calls. It's a place where you can think out loud, push back on ideas, and explore the problem you're solving. It's a space where honesty is valued, even if that means questioning your own assumptions. Often, this is the first time you get to truly articulate your thoughts with someone who isn't directly involved in the business.
There's not much you can say that will surprise me. This is what I do day in and day out by choice. Helping founders in the early stages of their journey is what I'm passionate about. I'm excited to hear your story and see how we can accelerate your progress, or bring clarity to your path forward.
One thing to know upfront: our journey together will be based on organized chaos. Your journey is unique, and my role isn't to show you how I did it, because replicating someone else's journey rarely works. What I do bring are best practices, proven strategies, and shortcuts to avoid failure and accelerate success. You'll rarely hear me say, "This is how I did it." Instead, I'll offer frameworks and ideas that work for your specific situation.
A Little About Me
After selling my last company a little over two years ago, I started a newsletter aimed at founders. It's a collection of insights, frameworks, and learnings to help entrepreneurs think about thinking. One of the key frameworks I created is Earn The Right, a comprehensive system designed to guide founders through the key stages of their journey. With over 50 modules, this framework helps you avoid common pitfalls and ensures you're taking the necessary steps to earn the right to move forward, whether that's building your product, charging for it, or raising funds. It's a structured approach, built from real-world experience, to help you make decisions that lead to success and has been downloaded over 1m times..
Since launching my newsletter, I've had the privilege of sharing insights and frameworks with a large community of founders, over 150,000 entrepreneurs around the world. They tune in each week to get actionable advice, tools, and frameworks to help them navigate their startup journey.
This year, my book Starting a Startup: Build a Product People Want is being published, and if you're feeling generous, I'd love for you to pre-order it!
I'm highly technical, but my focus is on the business and operations side of things. I don't choose your tech stack, that's up to you. My role is to align your business goals with the right solutions and strategy.
In addition to my own founder experience, I've led rapid innovation projects for companies like Nike, SAP, LinkedIn, Google, Bechtel, and American Airlines. I've also worked on creating innovation ecosystems at both the corporate and country levels.
Mentoring, coaching, consulting, and helping founders, this is my focus. It's what I do, day in and day out: finding ways to help you reach your next milestone, your way.
I look forward to talking.
James
